Poland's Geography
Poland is a country known for huge storms. During the summer large storms and thunder storms happen which in turn causes flooding. During the winter it is harsh and affects traffic but that isn't the main things the rain and snow hurts. Because of industrialization in Poland pollutants go in the air and are so bad acid rain and snow forms causing the forests and local fauna to take damage. Information from the CIA fact book tells us " Water pollution from industrial sources is a problem because of how waste is disposed. " This problem is also prominent in the capital of Poland the city of Warsaw. Also contributes to water being polluted because of how acidic it is. How do these storms get so large and aggressive? This is due to no natural barriers on the north European plains. These barriers would usually stop wind from getting fast and from so many clouds forming, but since Poland is flat land( With exceptions to mountain ridges like the one you see in the background), storms and flooding hit hard. Poland officials are now working getting the environment back to normal by cutting down on industry and making electric power plants.
